  • Personal Effects Coverage (PEC): Protects personal belongings
  • Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI): Adds excess third-party liability protection

These products are optional and are not required to rent a vehicle. Coverage is subject to the terms, exclusions, conditions, and limitations of the applicable rental agreement or insurance policy.

Loss Damage Waiver

Loss Damage Waiver, or LDW, may waive your financial responsibility for covered damage to or theft of the rental vehicle. Covered incidents can include collisions, vandalism, weather damage, hit-and-runs, glass damage, and certain single-vehicle accidents.

LDW includes no deductible for covered repairs, but exclusions apply for incidents involving unauthorized drivers, impaired driving, prohibited vehicle use, intentional damage, and travel outside the United States.

Personal Accident Insurance

Personal Accident Insurance, or PAI, provides accidental death, medical expense, and ambulance benefits for the renter and other covered passengers.

Benefits include up to $250,000 for the insured renter’s accidental death, $2,500 per person for medical expenses, and $500 per person for ambulance expenses.

Personal Effects Coverage

Personal Effects Coverage, or PEC, helps protect personal belongings that are stolen, damaged, or involved in an accident while inside the rental vehicle.

Coverage provides up to $750 per person and $2,000 per occurrence, with no deductible. A police report is required for theft claims.

Supplemental Liability Insurance

Supplemental Liability Insurance, or SLI, provides up to $300,000 in excess liability protection for covered bodily injury or property damage caused to another person.

Coverage applies to the renter and authorized additional drivers and begins above the applicable underlying liability limit.

Renter's Liability Protection

Renter’s Liability Protection, or RLP, provides primary third-party liability coverage at the minimum limits required by the rental state.

It may help cover injuries to another person or damage to third-party property caused by the renter or an authorized additional driver.
